what is a good "weeder" tool.....and what happened to "the claw"?

need to pull weeds out of my lawn. the weeds are growing thicker, taller, and are getting quite prickly. i was at home depot the other night but didn't know what weeder to buy. i was actually looking for that brand "the claw" if anyone remembers the commercials from years ago????? well apparently home depot does not sell it anymore as they state and i cannot find this product anywhere on the web anymore, nor a picture of it. does anyone know what product i am talking about?? and what happened to it???

so i need a weeder and don't know what to get now. any recommendations??? TIA!! :)

I think Canadian Tire has a claw weed eater thing. You push it in the ground then push the handle and it grabs it. and then you just pull it out. roots and all. They are called either weed grabber or weed huggers. this on sale this week for $31.99 and you would get your CT money back as well.

I have a similar one to the one posted (just an older version I think) and I really like them - it sometimes gets 'stuck' when I go to get the weed off the end, but my mum gave it to me (they bought one that was longer so my dad didn't have to bend as much) so I can't kick a gift horse in the mouth ;)

I have “the claw“, it's great. I've had mine for years, I hope you find someone that still sells them!

I have a claw but I use it more for just loosening the dirt and not for pulling weeds.
I want an official weed grabber tool.
Can always check local pawn shops LOL People give them tools all the time or check kijiji

I have this and it works well... prefer it to the claw which is in the back of my shed somewhere.
