My 5 year old DD occasionally complains that the top of her feet (along the inside from the big toe to almost her ankle) are hurting. Sometimes it is one foot, sometimes both. There is no change in the way they look but sometimes they feel a bit warmer than usual. We have no clue what it is. It will wake her up from a dead sleep.
Has anyone's child experienced anything like this? Any ideas of what it could be?
No idea. Well one idea...maybe it's her shoes???
Could it be her shoes even though most of the time this happens is when she is sleeping... like the pain wakes her up? She never complains about her feet hurting while she is wearing her shoes.Quote:

Yeah, I don't know...it was just a thought. The only other thing I can think of is lack of calcium--I get leg cramps that wake me up if I don't get enough calcium.
Sounds like the 'growing pains' I used to get in the middle of the night. My parents would have me walk on the cold kitchen floor which seemed to help for some reason.
Putting a cold cloth or ice on her feet seems to help too so maybe it is growing pains.Quote:
