Just getting the finishing packing done as he waited to the last minitue to get this done :rolleyes:, but I think we are just about done! My son is flying off to Lakehead (Thunder Bay) tomorrow, not to be seen till Dec 21st :(, but I am one of his 5 faves :D. It will be different not having him under foot, but I'm wishing him a blast (and hard work) while there. Tomorrow I'm sure there will be tears (me) and nerves (him), but its time.

Oh I had a wee cry. He's gone out to meet up with some friends after they get out of school for a wee but. I went in his room to deliver clean clothes to his messy room and thought “I'll give this a good cleaning when he's gone“ and that did it. As long as I can hold it together until he walks into the airport it will be good.
He's taking a concurrent outdoor recreation and education degree (5 years). It will make Christmas visits extra special now.

I feel your pain, I just brought mine to University 9 days ago and she barely has time to talk. It can be sort of distressing. She is having alot of fun and excitement..I am sure your son will too. Wish him well and congrats!
PS.. and another thing...Skype each other.
I think the internet connection is what is keeping my sanity right now. And I do want him to have 'the best time of his life' as they say, cause its costing like it better be!
I hear you about the cost..rrrggg...luckily she managed to be an Ontario Scholar which really helped moneywise. It is nice to do a video call.
I just mailed a little package from home too. There are those little things they forgot to pack.

Yes, my son got the Ontario Scholarship too, plus some for the distance he's traveling. Every bit helps. Being from a single parent family too, his osap is there but I hate him owing when done :( so much.
