    Cool need duvet / quilt ideas for 3 yr old boy..

    id like to do a duvet cover.. but squares like a quilt.. perhaps some star and moon shapes or something.. help

    Should be easy enough,

    just measure out your squares and sew them together and then sew a back on 3/4 of the way around and throw the duvet inside

    When you put all of your squares together, make sure to alternate which way you iron so you can butt your seams. That way you have corners and not uneven lines. Pet peave of mine.
    That being said, when I made the duvet cover for DD I went to the thrift store, found a FABULOUS sheet and sewed an old flannel sheet as the backing, left one side open & voila. The whole project took me 15 minutes.

    when i did my quilts i laid out the pattern on my floor and picked them up in rows so my pattern did get lost

    oh and i would do cars myself but then thats what my DS is into

    you could check out potterybarnkids.com for inspiration & ideas. I love their bedding.

    I loooove plaids for boys. What about coordinating plaids with accents of plain coloured chenille fabric (the kind that looks like corduroy).
