Default Here is the hat I knit for DH

This is why you should check your gauge before starting a project. He has a normal sized head.

I ended up giving the hat to my Dad. He has a gigantic head. He has since lost the hat. He's not going to get a very nice retirement home now. He's been warned.

Can't turn it up. The backside of the cables looks like junk. Supposed to be worn down.

Have you ever seen the photos of the big blue sweater I knit DH? Oh Gods! I laugh so hard I almost pee my pants when I see it. The sleeves go to the knee and the torso is too short. The hood is also so short it pulls the shoulders up towards the ears...hahaha! Going find a photo now!

I'd just like to point out that although it's much too long, your stitches are beautiful. Job well done. I can also imagine Kat instructing you to cut it half way up, pick up an insane amount of stitches and do some more fancy-schmancy stuff with back flips and somersaults, and cast off for a perfect hat. But forget all that! Where the heck were you ladies tonight other than on the soccer field?

Oh yea! Could have gone to practice tonight! I totally forgot! I was cleaning, suds off the floor, and on here.

Friday I should be good for soccer practice.

    Ok back to my hat.

Oh yes! The suds. He must never know.

I wouldn't rip just yet. Perhaps you just need to find someone with a bigger head. Or remind him that the slouchy look is all the rage. He just needs to wear it higher and more beret-like.
