Have you ever seen them play? Outdoor finished up last night and there is no way my kid needed a helmet to play.

We have not done indoor, but the outdoor grasshoppers with the little kids playing on the astroturf at UWO - helmets not necessary. It would be like putting a helmet on your kid in your laneway.

Had a great last field hockey yesterday! DD1 is excited to sign up again.
Stop thinking you’re not ready. – Nobody ever feels 100% ready when an opportunity arises. Because most great opportunities in life force us to grow beyond our comfort zones, which means we won’t feel totally comfortable at first.

We did play one day of indoor and I was nervous the whole time...there is no way my kids would play without a helmet but then again if they play in the driveway they wear a helmet as well. I'm actually surprized that insurance will cover them without a helmet to be honest, they are usually over cautious about stuff like that.

Do the under 10 kids get broken up into groups? I just can't see DD1 playing with 10 year olds.

Will get back to you on this! Summer was fun - but need to run this by DH before we commit again.

Yes, the younger ones will be grouped together. My dd also is a bit young to be paired with 10 yr olds. There will be sub-groups.
