    Default Wait times for endocrinologists

Does anyone know what they are like in the city?
    Thanks!

Who are you being referred to, and the reason counts too for the wait time.

It's nothing urgent I suppose, and I have no idea who she is referring me to. I just wish I was given some meds while waiting. Oh well, what's another few months of feeling crummy?

Mine books 18 mths ahead. Sometimes she'll squeeze me in, if it's been too long between app'ts and I feel like a need to see her again. She's a busy doctor.

    This doesn't sound promising!
My Dr is refusing to adjust my synthroid even though I am sitting at 3.13 and have always been in the low 2's. I have been feeling crappy - with all the hypo symptons for months. So, at my appt in a few weeks, I was going to ask for a referral to an endocrinologist. Maybe I'll stick with plan A and try to badger him in to changing my meds instead! Heck, the range in the US is .3 - 3.0.
    Sorry for the slight hijack!

That's great.. Mine is 7.08 with almost all the symptoms... and I'm still waiting to get my medication.

I didn't wait that long for an appointment - I just went a couple of months ago - it maybe took 2-3 months at most to get in. I can't remember the name of theDr. I saw - she was at St. Joes though.

Well, I called her back today and asked if she could. I don't think I can function for another 18 months without some help.

I had to get severely hypo before my first RAI treatment - I was in the high 90's......I could barely wipe my own ass!

You better get angry with someone, being hypo sucks! I hope you get some meds quick......
