    Default Ipod Nano?

To be blunt..does anyone else find it to be a piece of carp?

    - can't change volume with gloves on (boy that sucked last wk!)
    - sometimes volume won't change at all (i forget what it does instead)
    - difficulty turning it off
    - when you want to skip a song, it sometimes wants to ff thru it instead
    - won't let you skip a song at all (seems to get stuck on stuff my dh put on it and I hate)

Doesn't seem to matter if the battery is full or not. Oh yeah, and the battery shows 1/2 life left yet it goes dead.

So did I just get a dud or are they carp? This one is about 1.5 yrs old, but rarely used.

Sorry you're having so much trouble with it. I love mine and haven't had any problems.

the clickwheel totally threw me off the first few times I used it.. you may warm up to it.. or not..

I would bring it back to the store, explain your problems and either exchange it or try a differnnt brand. you pay a LOT for the IPOD name, you could likely get a similar player with more storage by a different company (such as samsung) for the same money, and perhaps you would prefer the controls.

Unfortuanatley it's 1.5 yrs old so i can't return it (I stopped walking to work & going to the gym so I never used it, now I do again).

I was just curious if it was me or the player that had the issues lol.

I just wiped it and put only the songs I really like back on it so I don't have to skip anything.

Once I find the software for my old one (Rio), I'll prob start using that again and give this to dh.

I think it must be the player that has the issues. I have one (only a couple of months old) but I LOVE it!

Mine has also worked great since day one. I also agree that the wheel took a little bit of getting used to.
