Default Rogers vs small business owner :(

We moved our shop from one unit to another at the same address and asked Rogers to move our internet and phone service accordingly.

Rogers complied, then sent a bill for $629.99 plus taxes for a "technician install fee" + "contract ECF for internet - SBM" whatever that is + "technician install fee-internet". Excuse me while I have a stroke.

Rogers is a sack of balls and a half. I would be calling and complaining and trying to get your bill reduced. There are other companies you can go with.

I'm relieved to say a rep at Rogers has submitted a reversal of the charges. She says it “should get approval“ because the order was mistakenly entered (by a rep in a non-North American call centre) as a cancellation and new service instead of a move. I hope there's no further trouble with this.

Wow! Yeah, I would have had a stroke too! Glad you contacted them to try and sort things out.

I was working at the Bell call center for a while and there were some pretty bizarre mistakes made by reps goofing up accounts by clicking on wrong buttons. Actually.. I know I made one big mistake and charged a guy nearly $500 (for a new satalitte reciever) when he was entitled to a new one for free... eeep. He had a agreed to the charges, but they still shouldn't have been made, I called him back a number of times but it still wasn't resolved.

Mistakes happen. But its definitely a good thing you called to clear things up. If they don't get resolved this time around, keep calling. They will fix it! Rogers is usually pretty good for that.
