    Default Monday Mom Breaks

So logistically and legally how would this go over?

If I were to be a Monday babysitter for $22/per child, 6 kids max (two adults attending) for the whole day and they bring their own lunch and I was not licensed? Could I do that?

Gives moms a break for one day a week without the overspending of daycare, but the fun activities and socializing that kids want/need?

Would that be a good thing to do? Or is it legally not allowed? Would anyone go for that?

I am pretty sure you can only have 5 kids + your own, it doesn't matter how many adults.

I also believe only 5 +your own is allowed. And I think if you have a second adult then you have to be licensed?

I'm certain only five, no matter how many adults(not sure if it means you need to be licensed), but I wanted to say it sounds like a great idea. Good luck Jessica!

Just looked at the government site and it is 5 plus your own children.

Not sure how many would commit to just one day a week - if there is no commitment and just call and see if there is room on the days you are interested, then maybe. But how would you keep track of the info on all the different parents who might drop off kids?

I wish you lived closer to me! I'd totally take you up on that!

I need someone for some Monday's but not all of them!

I'd imagine that she would just have a registration package that parents would fill out on their first visit and it'd be more like a call ahead and if there is space you are in and if not too bad! It would be perfect for moms who need to book dr's appointments etc., they could book their day of errands all for the same Monday and not have to lug the kids around with them without needing to pay the high costs and find a reg daycare that would accomodate such a drop in!

I think it is a great idea! I need someone one day per week, approximately every other week starting in September for my 4 year old and there aren't many people offering this option.

I think it's a great idea!! The way Leslie suggested sounds like a good way to handle it aswell!
