    Default Constant reminders

So I check my facebook this morning, and there is another message from DF's ex.

"Just wanted to remind B that child support is due tomorrow"

I replied, "Yep we know, it will be in your account before the end of the day as always"

Why does she feel we need a reminder? It has been almost 5 years since he started paying support (on his own, as his step son's aren't his), and we have never missed a payment or been late, or short changed her ever!!

But every month I still get the same message.

Just my morning vent, it has been a very stressful week

Maybe stop replying to them and eventually she will quit sending them?

We tried that, she would send another one before the end of the day. She knows my facebook messages come to my phone.

Or she will ask how we are doing the payment. It has been the same way every month lol

Can you block her from your facebook so at least she`s not stressing you out about it?

Sounds like she knows it annoys you and she just enjoys the game.

block her from your facebook, let her bug him!

Replace ex with MIL and I feel your pain. Is there any way to block private messages from her but still be able to see all the other stuff? Next time she “reminds“ you I'd kindly remind her that you are not DH and that if she's missing a payment to contact the FRO. But that's just me. Good luck. She sounds like fun.

Mature Answer: I would block her on facebook.

What I would want/possibly do: Post on her wall every month that the payment will be made X day it hasn't been forgotten. Maybe do it a few times per day or a few days leading up to. Then tell her if she's that worried about missing her payments, she should talk to FRO. And while she's at it, maybe get the payments court ordered. (The last two comments might be a good idea. The first is childish but could be satisfying!)

Can you message her every month the day before she gets to you
“Just a reminder that your payment is coming“
    Day after:
“Just a reminder your payment should have arrived“

    mid-month:
“just a reminder you payment will be in on the xxday as always“

Haha I agree with a few of the others.
Mature answer would be to block her and let her bug him (sorry DH hehe)

But I would probably play her own game and let her see how annoying it is (which she may realize, but doubtful) and write her back saying

    payment is coming.....
On our way to the bank...
    Money is deposited.....
Did you check your acct yet?....
    Is the money there?......
and then make the more frequent “did you get it yet?“ (repeat as necessary)
    then:

    hehehehe

    LOL.

That does sound annoying. Is there a chance, though, that it is not intentional annoyance? I mean, maybe she has a tight money situation, and actually feels stressed and worried about the possibility of a delay or forgotten payment.

I would take the direct approach and ask her why she feels the need. Then suggest that unless there are future issues, she not send reminders, as they are proven unnecessary.
