    Default Stuttering

My DD gets caught on words sometimes. "why..why...wh...why...why you do that?" or something else to that effect. I'm not sure if this is a normal 2 year old thing or if she has a stutter (studder??)
I mean its adorable but I can see her getting frustrated
    Thoughts?

the same here, DD1 is 4 and a half and does that, but I think it's mainly cause English is still her second language and she is still catching up?

Totally normal at this age. Usually in kids that are extremely verbal. I googled it when DD did it for a while.

I know when ds was in 'Step into K' a parent asked about stutter as their child had just started doing it and the speech patholigist said it was a normal phase at that age. I remember it because ds had also just started doing it, and he was 3 1/2 at the time.

Sounds pretty normal, too many thoughts sometimes for her words to catch up!

My DD just turned 3 and she has been doing this, not all the time.

I started a thread about this too a little while back! I think it is normal for 2 year olds...they get talking faster than their mouths can keep up!

DS did that, I think he was 3-4 when he did it. I asked his JK teacher, family doctor and speech therapist how DD sees and they all said it was normal.TBH it Drove me nuts though! lol

that's not stuttering...that is stumbling for words. if she truly stuttered she wouldn't even be able to say the why all at once. They all do that Jess.
