    Default Help me pick one....

We have two names picked out for LO:

    Nolan Grant MacDonald

    or

    Marshall Grant MacDonald

The main reason being is because we wanted to make sure the name suits him when we see him. I was told yesterday that he has lots of hair...it could be dark like his daddy or fair like me...he could also end up with brown eyes or blue...it really depends on whos genes were more dominent this time around. Anyways, I know it might sound silly but I still can`t decide which name would suit a fairer haired child or a darker haired one....or does it really matter....when you think of either of these names, what do you picure the child to look like or do you just prefer one over the other all together.

I like both names. I didn't immediately picture anyone when I read the names in the poll, but after reading your post I would associate Nolan with fairer hair and Marshall with darker. Possibly because a member on here has a cute little boy named Nolan, who is blonde.
Marshall I just picture this dark haired, serious faced little boy in a striped shirt and overalls.
lol I guess I have a vivid imagination.

keep in mind hair and eye colour can change from what you see at birth.

    I like the name Nolan.

D at birth had really really dark hair, almost black. It changed around 9 months and now he has really blonde hair (he's 6).

lol...I usually do too....like when I think of a little boy with the name Sam, I think of a little boy with curly light brown hair and a soft round face...but for some reason when naming my own child I am having a hard time putting a name to a face....maybe it`s because I don`t know any Nolans or Marshalls...yet

Totally will keep in mind that his hair colour and eyes may change...My Maxwell was born with bright red hair and is now almost a white blonde, however, our first Aden was born dark and stayed dark.

Given that you already have a Maxwell I think you should go with Nolan, since Marshal is so similar. But I am no fan of children in the same family with similar names, personally.

    I like both names TBH

I like that Marshall is unique. I don't know any little boys with that name.

I also like the name Nolan, and it does work nicely with MacDonald.....but it is more common right now.
