Default Spring/Summer Resolution Exercise 2011 thread

Moderators - please make this thread another sticky

It is official ... we have created a new thread signalling the signs of spring!

Today, I did 45 minutes of Group Active class using 15 lbs weights in each arm for the entire weight training circuit for 20 minutes (Cardio for 20 minutes) plus cool down. Sometimes I have to switch to the 12.5 gel weights but today I didn't!

    Happy Posting!

I was thinking the same. I read that and thought, Man, she's gotta have some pipes to be able to do that. Impressive.

Cardio was for 20 minutes and then 20 minutes of weight training. Yes, you do sets and take breaks and stretch, I started with 5 & 10 lbs gel weights last September and now I have reached the 15 lbs which was my goal. It's a class so it is done with safety in mind.

Forgot to say that I have do Group Power which is 60 minutes of total body weight training class where I use the bar and weights and I usually do between 15 and 20 lbs on each side, during the workout. I also do BootCamp which is cardio and weight training combined so I have muscle on me. Now if I would be able to lose that extra tummy weight from having children.

I'm still waiting for a Mod. to make this a sticky. Please be patient.

This week so far has been an awesome week for me with my exercise and its intensity. I feel so wonderful!

I went for a long brisk walk on Monday, Tuesday I did 60 minutes of intense BootCamp and today, I did hard core Group Active (take it up a notch!) Tomorrow it is Group Cycle and Friday is another Group Active class. I am at the Y 4-5 times a week just for me.

    So my workout schedule:
    Monday's - 45 min brisk walk or a swim
    Tuesday's - 60 min of BootCamp
    Wednesday's - 45 min of Group Active
    Thursday's - 40 Group Cycle (+10 min pre-workout)
    Friday's - 45 min Group Active
Saturday and Sunday's are my rest days except for Family swim

    Wow - granola, you rock!
I am still sticking with the C25K program (modified a bit)
I think I've been at it approx 8 weeks but I am doing each week at least twice. I am super impressed with the improvements I am seeing.
I ran today. Not sure what's on the agenda for the rest of the week.

Well I have checked in after the weekend and where are you, LM's?

Friday I did Group Active, Saturday was Family Swim and Sunday was playing outside with DS1 and DS2. Monday, I went for a wonderful walk outside with the crisp blue sky.

    Tomorrow is BootCamp.

How is everyone doing with their exercise? Soon it will be spring and we will be seeing the spring bulbs blooming!

I keep checking the thread for anyone else posting.

I did a new thread since the old one was getting too big.

Everyone cannot have just stopped exercising this month!

It's spring break so I will hope some of you will post for next week.

Last week I did my Boot Camp, Group Active x2, and Group Cycle.

This week because of Spring Break I will be doing my own exercise but today I got to do Group Power which was awesome as I normally cannot do this class during the school year.

    Happy Exercise Posting!!!!

    I'm still here
I ran yesterday ... I am now running more than I'm walking so that makes me happy but I still have a long way to go before I'm running 5K.
Today I didn't do much but will likely do some stretching, pushups, crunches while watching TV tonight.
Tomorrow the plan is Flirty Girl Fitness @Vesta after work.

Today I ran 6kms and then later went for a walk with the dog and kids for 3kms (don't have a dog, just dog sitting for a few days). I still have to do my ab work for the day.

Ok, trying to keep this thread going. I ran 8kms and did 20 yoga sun salutations in honour of a friend who has been doing yoga everyday for 200 days straight. I also took the dog for a walk and I still need to do my ab work and ideally I should get in an upper body workout but I am TIRED.

Tomorrow is a rest day from running, which means I will only do yoga and my ab work.

I suck. I fell off the wagon. I had this “thing“ come up and it was eating my hours in the evening after work. Now the “thing“ is bigger, and eating a little more time.
I will be back to bootcamp at Vesta Saturday, but it may be the first time in 2 weeks that I have done ANYTHING.
    Yikes.
