Default Took a leap of faith...

I sent the letter of intent today.

I feel strangely relieved. When I told DS he said "YAY!"

We're leaving on Sunday to spend a week at my parents' house and just have some downtime. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about making this work and I'm confident that this is what is best for our family.

I would like to connect with homeschooling and/or unschooling support groups here in London, so if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know. I joined the yahoo group for A Different Drum, but I don't find the forum very user-friendly or organized...maybe I'm just not used to it yet.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say thanks to those ladies here who encouraged me to follow my heart.

    Good for you
You have a lot of mamas here that you can probably get some great advice from if you need it. I am not experienced in the whole homeschool/unschooling thing but wanted to say good job for making a decision that is best for your family. I am sure it wasnt easy

I'm glad you both feel good about your decision. Sometimes just making a decision (whatever the decision) brings relief because it allows you to move forward and make plans.

The Different Drum message board can take some people time to get used to if they're used to forums. I like both formats for different reasons, but am more familiar with yahoo groups. You can change your mail delivery to Digest Form where the messages are sorted by subject differently..that may help while you get used to things.

Glad you are feeling confident in your decision! That is important, that you feel in your heart it is what is right!

    And good luck!
