Definitely cloth pull on training pants. I have some from Blueberries that are quite nice!

Depending on the stage you're at, there are the standard pul-on ones or there pull-on, snap-off (POSO) ones if you want more of a pull-on diaper where you have an easy way to get them off in case of poop! Lots of brands in different styles I think Happy Heiny makes one now too. Haven't explored all the options available, but have seen quite a number!
