Sounds like your stepson needs his own lawyer to listen to him. This way the truth will come out with no pressures from his mom. Good Luck!

Big hugs hun! You are not a bad step mom in the slightest! Its hard to believe what some people will do to be right. Poor J having to desipher through all of this! One day when he is an adult he will remember all of this and his mom wont be too happy with the result.

Thanks everyone, I am so stressed.

We received an email from the counceller's office saying the report was in no way an assessment and without both parties they can not say what context anything J said was given and it can not be used in court as an assessment or even what his true wishes are, or what is in his best interest. Sounds like they are scrambling to cover their butts. The email came from the councellers supervisor.

So I just looked at the properties of the pictures. They were taken on February 19th, 2010 at 9:12 pm. That is two hours after we served them with court papers. Coincidence?!? I think not. So they have had these horrible pictures for a year and not mentioned anything? Give me a break!!

when my parents were going through a nasty custody issue at first, my sister and I were ordered a lawyer from the court to listen to what we wanted - I was 10 and she was 12. Maybe that might help?

OMG Kaisa - what a horrible, horrible day you've all had

Today is over now and I wish it never feels like this again for you. Maybe try and focus on the gift of being given the time now to get things properly evaluated - with real professionals. I'm surprised this “report“ was even allowed to be discussed but it sounds like the court recognized it had no value at all.

I wish you all the strength and love I can for the next few months. Your J is very lucky to have you both willing to fight so hard for him. It really breaks my heart to imagine what you're all feeling right now

    Huge hugs to you all!!!
