Good luck fitting 3 of anything in a Civic unless it's a 2 door. Yes I'm serious. In a 2 door they kind of stay in place better but in the 4 door, every time you try to close the door you're jarring the poor kids :S

We had a 1999 grand marque (sorry for the spelling), and the trunk was HUGE, I miss it (but needed a bigger vehicle)

We can squish three in our 4-door Honda Accord. Never all carseats though but a mix of carseats and boosters.

I have a Ford Explorer and that works. I also know you can fit 3 in a Lexus SUV, and ford Escape,F150, Chevy Caliber.

I've seen pics online of 3 in the back of my Prius, but I'm not going to attempt it. I think I'd be cursing every time I had to load them all in/out of the car.

It's easier to fit harnessed seats in 3 across scenarios because you aren't straining to reach the buckle for a booster every time. If you post your vehicle make/model/year, your children's stats (weight/age torso height) as well as your current seats and possible budget to buy new seats if necessary, I'm sure we could help you find a workable solution.

I have personally done 3 across in MANY vehicles but they often involved at least one Radian and all seatbelt installs.

I've done it in a 2006 Vibe, 2007 Yaris, 2009 Versa, 2008 Focus, Honda Element, VW Passat wagon and many others.
    *sigh*
