    Default stir crazy

anyone else's kids going stir crazy?

    It's 10am, and I already have a pounding headache.

I can't take them outside, because Martyn absolutely cannot be out in this weather, and of course, hubby is at work!!!

I'm seriously annoyed that his work is even open.

Seriously, who can do construction in this weather?

yep, mine were annoying me - but I sent them downstairs to play with DH

Hugs - I would be losing my mind to if DH was at work. 3 days of staying in and the kids are losing it.

Not being able to go outside, I don't know how you do it! We just came in from an hour in the snow. The boys are having hot chocolate and a cookie then it is gingerbread making time We were supposed to yesterday but ended up making shortbread instead as I was out of cinnamon and cloves! So I asked dh to get some from sil (neighbour) so he's on his way back right now.
We did some Christmas crafts yesterday (yay for oriental trading co-op) and will do some more this afternoon.

The baby went to sleep, and DD1 is playing games and stuff on my iPad. Good way to keep her outta my hair

That is a good question...he must definitely be working inside. I called my DH and he was on a conference call Just send them home already!

I could take DD1 outside, but she'd be up to her neck in snow

Mine are going crazy but as soon as dh can take them they are being sent outside.
Do you have a monitor Leigh? Can you get them out in the yard while the baby naps? That's my plan!

The kids don't want to go outside. Even DD said “mommy the snow is bigger than me, I would get lost“.

Do you have any dry rice/beans? Last year on the 1 snow day they had I dumped a bunch of rice in a rubber maid and buried a bunch of small toys in it (like the little animals you get at the dollar store) and gave them shovels, pails, toy digger trucks ext to dig out the animals. They played with it for HOURS....They made a huge mess but it was easy to vacuum up. Just a thought lol

Hmm...that's not good. Movies? or go hide in a corner and let them go wild?

Oh my. My mister's work is still open, and he works night shift. If it weren't for the kindness of strangers he would not have managed to get to work, or home from work! And to top it off, Bean is sick. I just stuffed him in his bouncer and turned Dinosaur Train on. I'm a terrible mother.

The kids have been watching Shrek and Thomas all morning. But I just got out a load of art supplies from dd's room and after lunch we're going to do art activities. I'm thinking of actually having the neighbourhood kids over for this.
