    Default Toy Drive?

My extended family is starting a new tradition where instead of exchanging gifts each family is giving a donation to their charity of choice.

This year I'd like to give to a toy drive. Which would you recommend? When do they start? We are celebrating Christmas early.

Salvation Army - Toys for Tots (salvationarmy.ca)

I like this one the best, because it can be a family project: Samaratan's Purse -(month of November) samaratanspurse.ca

I think RBC Canada does a toy drive as well, but not sure when it starts.

A great idea that incorporates the true meaning of Christmas!

our family supports the Salvation Army Toy Drive.

Our school staff has a nice tradition, similar to Secret Santa. Each person buys a TOY, that they feels represents them valued at $20+ (for example I am a former police officer, I bought a CSI kit....the principal was going to Disney over the holidays, she bought a princess dress up kit) ..we exchange them with our secret santa and try and guess who it was, based on the toy. Then, ALL the toys are donated to the Salvation Army drive....along with the cans the school collects. Its fun, and also a great way of giving

Interfaith in Ingersoll. They collect toys and food and distribute to those in Oxford County. They start collecting the 1st week of December I believe and will be at school. I plan on taking Ty and Megan to help with the sorting of canned food this year. I want my kids to realize how much they REALLY have.
