    Default activity for mom

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can start looking for some "me" activity? I am dying to try and find an activity/sport something that will get me out of my caccoon and around new faces/people .. I'm constantly busy with the kids activities and stuff, but for the time being I almost feel like I'm loosing me if that makes sense..I looked into a dance class thru dance extreme but I thought they were a bit pricey... and I don't know anyone to get a volleyball "team" together..

If any moms have any suggestions I'dlove to hear them.. trying to get out and meet people when you're a single mom with two kids is harder than I thought! lol.. I like scrapbooking, but was hoping to find something more active. I have a membership at the y, but even finding time sometimes to get there is hard.. and crying over a boot camp isn't my idea of laughs and fun! lol

Try browsing the Spectrum guide. They have lots of classes for adults--everything from cooking, languages, sports, yoga, woodworking, etc. And they offer subsidy if you can't afford it.

You should try out the new Yoga for Mamas at the new Life With Baby. Its a great supportive environment and great “me“ time with likeminded women. PM me if you want details.

RCSS is always holding cooking classes. you could try going to a Scrapbooking class. or maybe you could offer some of your time up to a local charity.

I'm in the same boat, single mom looking for something to do. I've started going to Aquafit classes, but most of the people are older (they are super nice though).

By suggestion from LM's I've decided to try my hand at scrapbooking.

I've also put my name in to volunteer for MS and Organ Donation, causes that affect me or I believe strongly in (another LM suggestion - you people better not suggest I jump off a bridge, I just may have to do it!! lol).

I've heard church is a good way to meet people and get involved, but I've yet to go myself.

Come to the next Mom's Night Out (MNO) if you can too

A shameless plug, but you could try and come to the card making event I'm doing to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, I'm hoping a few LMs will be able to come, and if there are enough of you, I could arrange some classes to get you together again

You can just come and shop too if you don't want to make cards.

I love scrapbooking as well but I'm also looking for something to do to get out of the house. Why don't you try one of the classes through the y/ then you don't have to worry about childcare either?
I think I want to start kickboxing but don't know where has decent prices

I start my Zumba class on Thursday night... nervous, but so excited all at the same time! I figure if I can (re)start tap dancing at 41 years old, I can certainly Zumba, too!
