Default More questions about CD covers/wool

OK....two queestions:

If I want to make an upcycled wool longie, does the garment I am using need to be 100% wool? Or, will a wool bend work?

What are the benefits or negatives to using fleece longies instead of wool ones? Do the both work well as covers?

I have made some fleece longies and for a while they were my favourite winter cover. They were easy to care for and easy to make.

I have only owned one pair of wool longies - so I am really not an expert in this area.

I think it does need to be 100% wool.

yep it does need to be 100% wool. The second you have things added to it, it cannot be fully self cleaning.

technically, you can use wool that is a blend. As long as it's 80% wool.

It's of lesser quality IMO though.
