Dr. Bronner's Soaps
I always feel a bit funny posting in this forum, cause I've always been too lazy to think carefully about the stuff we buy/use/etc.
Anyway, ever since I started reading about ways to clean that are nontoxic/eco-friendly, I keep seeing references to Castile Soap. I looked and looked and could never find any in stores. So I finally ordered some online a month or so ago.
I ordered 2 bottles of liquid castile and 1 bottle of Sal Suds. This stuff can be used for EVERYTHING.
They are vegetable oil-based, organic, fair trade. So also, non-toxic, etc....the soaps leave no residue. They work amazingly well and can be used for everything.
The Sal Suds is concentrated so I only use very small amounts, but it can be used as laundry soap, dishsoap, dishwasher soap, stain pre-treatment, clean floors, walls, outside the house, the car....everything.
They have a full line of products....including shampoo/body soaps. But the regular castile can be used in the shower as well, apparently.
They have a really cool history--it's been family owned for a few generations now. They have a corporate structure in which the top positions make no more than 5x that of the lowest paid staff. Any profits not needed for operation of the company is used for various causes/charities. Every review I've read about their products has been all positive.
