How set are you on it being 5.2? I'm just asking because it would be easier to find a shorter one, and you would still be able to do front, back, and side carries with it - just not every one of them.

yeah, do you really need a 5.2? B/c I can do everything, even double hammock with a 4.6. And right now, I'm not a small mama!! I don't know if there is anything else you would need a 5.2 for specifically...

I think usually people say that FWCC takes up the most fabric, and most people can do that with a 4.6ish (size 6) - bigger mamas might need a size 7, and petite mamas can use a size 5. Well I'm definitely not petite (not really big or anything, but not petite either) and I can FWCC with a 5. But I don't have a lot of boob happening, so I think that's why. Haha! I guess it really varies. I wonder if there is a babywearing group in Sarnia where you could try them out? Even if a 6 is too small to FWCC with though there are variations on FWCC that take up less fabric that you could still do, or other carries entirely.

Oh you're in sarnia eh. Hmm that sucks!
Also, mamabear, I've figured out short cross carry with my 4!!! Didn't know what to do with it before! Anything else go for doing with a 4???

I'm 5'7 and 155ish. I can't believe you can FWCC with a 5 - you;re tall! (not meant in a bad way lol)
You can probably do a half-FWCC, kangaroo carry, fwcc tub... Maybe FCC?
Links
half-fwcc
kangaroo
fwcc tub
front cross carry
tons of videos and tips on some of these on tbw. i find kangaroo hard, and also scc, so i don't bother with them. lol i will maybe try to learn them when I have shorter wraps though
eta and semi-fwcc, she does this with a shortie, so 4 is probably too long, but maybe not for a bigger mama, so i'll link here for future reference (and to make it easier for me to find )
eta again those are all front carries, there are lots of back carries you can do as well and i'm sure a few hip carries but since i don't back carry and only hip carry with a rebozo right now i don't know them. lol

i'll try to fix them - it's that annoying x thing that appears in front of the address in some links that messes it up. you can delete it and they'll work but i'll try to fix them

alright all fixed, that's annoying. a bunch of extra letters appear in front of links whenever you preview or edit posts so the links stop working. when it happens though you can just erase the letters in front - so the address would start at www.etc as usual

Night Owls, size 3, $85. Doesn't help that she also has a gorgeous Jade shorty and I've always wanted to try an Ellevill. LOL

I'm not actually going to get either of them, FTR, I'm just window shopping. (I will totally let you guys know if I need enabling though. LMAO!)
eta turns out my own dh is my best enabler lol
