Default Diaper Rash *Question in post 27*

Arg. Ila has a BAD diaper rash. It developed yesterday, after nap time. She was napping in a disposable, which normally she is in cloth. Then she woke up poopy and rashy. She was in another disposable overnight and the rash is WAY WAY worse today. Her whole little bum is very red. And she cried at least 20+ minutes this morning when I cleaned her up

She has been a blueberry-a-holic the past week or two.

So, I don't know if the rash is due to increase blueberry intake....or, a reaction to the disposables.....or, something else....

any advice on how to treat it? What could have caused it?

Sprinkle on baby What kind of disposable was she in? I know the new stuff in the Pampers cruisers (dry max) has been causing really bad rashes, really quickly in a lot of babes.

yea the dry max apparently have caused chemical burns on some kids. Crazy eh!?!

Yep, I second the corn starch..unless you think its a yeast infection, if you think its a yeast infection, dont use the corn starch, it will just feed it... that wont be good. lol.

I tried penaten (really thick) last night. No improvement.

Trying Desitin tonight.

How would I know if its yeast?

****also, yesterday she had spaghetti for the first time......could that have been a reaction to it?****

Did she have tomato sauce with the spaghetti? Tomato sauce can be really acidic and “burn“ sensitive skins badly.

Hope she gets better quickly!

yea it might have been the sauce too. Tomatos really bother me, I get canker sores when I eat them. So I can imagine it would bother the bum too.

yeast looks different than a rash. I cant really explain it. I would swag bucks it and look at images just to get a good idea of the difference..might get some swag bucks too hehe!
