I lost my twins the same way. I was a week and 2 days away from being viable. My water broke and I went into labour. My heart goes out to your friend... it honestly was one of the worst things to happen to me! In hindsight its the one thing that made me strong enough to go through what I had to afterwards... but I didn't know that at the time.

Anyhoo.. I am sure you wish you could take it all away, but you can't they are going to hurt, very deeply for a long time... All you can do is not act like nothing isn't happening, never stop talking about it (but don't be the first to bring it up) and never ever forget! My mother calls me every year on the anniversary of my loss and just talks about it, and how old they would be and how cute they'd be! I think that is the greatest thing she could do for me. I work with the elderly and there is a women who has the beginnings of dementia, and she still remembers the babies she lost! Its sadly something many of us go through, but not many of us talk about until it happens.

Anyhoo... I'm so sorry for your friend... I truely know what she is going through... clinging to hope, when there really isn't any.. Hugs to you and everyone who cares about those babies!
