lol. I thought about mentioning Childreach, but I wasn't sure a mom and baby group really counts as 'public'.

I'm always surprised at how few moms nurse openly even at baby groups - most seem to cover up. It's one of my pet peeves, and it irritates the hell out of me. I realize that some kids get distracted if they're not covered, but I always find myself thinking “why are you acting like you're ashamed of nursing?“

Of course everyone has the right to nurse how they feel comfortable, and I'm not saying they're wrong for doing it that way. That's just my personal gut reaction to it.

DH noticed a mama NIP this afternoon at Picadilly Hearing Centre. I love that he thinks to tell me these things cause he knows I'll be psyched.

I NIP with my 7.5m old everywhere....this week it was public pool areas, the mall, Harmony buffet, dentist office, Masonville Mall ... if you see me, I am usually wearing my LO in an orange and white wrap that I made I can't quite nurse in it though, that's a bit hard for us.
I love this thread, great idea!

I can't wait to NIP again!! (Does that sound weird? LOL) I did it at a restaurant once - at the table, while I was eating I was very proud of myself! LoL

I wasn't sure if baby groups are considered public... But it was literally the first time I have ever seen anyone nurse in Stratford outside of a house!

This weekend I finally NIP! I usually go to my van to nurse when we are out, but I was at the splash pad with the boys and a friend of mine and just nursed in my camping chair. Then we went to Wendy's with DH and the boys and DS was getting fussy. There weren't many people in the restaurant, so I just nursed him and ate my food. Then again today while we took the boys fishing.

I am pretty proud of myself! I don't know why I was so nervous about it.
