    Default Babywearing in emergencies

So I was putting on a pair of overalls the other day when I realized they reminded me of my mei tai! And it occurred to me that if I was desperate enough, I could put the overalls on over a baby, and then use something else (a pair of pants, a towel, a sheet, whatever) to tie around the open part to make things more secure!

And it reminded me of this page I saw awhile back on Mamatoto about babywearing in case of emergency:

    http://www.wearyourbaby.com/Default.aspx?tabid=169

I thought it was a really neat link, so I just thought I'd post it in case someone else hadn't run across it yet.

what great info!! this would have been good to know when we had a fire alarm in our building (and we lived on the 10th floor and had to get a baby and a four year old down the stairs)!!

Great info, although it brought tears to my eyes thinking about all the families affected by all the disasters.

We were shopping the other day when my DD got tired. She wanted to be held and was getting heavy so I got my DH to tie my jacket around us like a sling. It worked - she fell asleep! Not quite an emergency but useful.
