Hello everyone, I am hoping to start the Association For Medically Fragile Children. It will offer support and resources to parents and care givers of medically fragile children. I have been working on it for some time. If you would be interested in being on the board of directors please let me know. We would prefer that the board be made up of people that have personal experience caring for a medically fragile child.

I have learned so much since Olivia was diagnosed with cancer and so much more the year and a half before that. If it were not for the fact that I am not scared to ask questions or speak up when something is wrong I would not have found have the resources I now know about.now. I find myself thinking a lot about the moms and dads out there that are too scared too speak up, too tired to fight for what they have a right to or English is not their first language regardless someone has to reach out to these families and advocate for those who for whatever reason can't fight on their own. The board of directors is a legal necesity to have a non profit in Ontario. I want the board to be comprised of people who are well aware of the challenges facing families like yours and mine. If you are interested please send me an email. The responsibilities of the board are to meet once every month in the begining and then 4 times a year there after. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am not able to commit time at this point (stretched a little too thin right now) but interested in following this. My little guy was diagnosed medically fragile 5 1/2 years ago when he was born with his heart defects
