Does anyone know if this HST rebate will be taken by the Federal Garnishment for child support?

Not that I'm expecting anything anyway.. lol

Yea, they take GST and income tax returns.

I don't really know how it all works though

Then I would guess that they can and will take the HST too. Its only $100 for a single person tho.

You should get any monies he would receive in the way of HST rebates. Including those three bonus payments everyone is supposed to get starting this month (he would have needed to file his 2009 income tax return however).

how do you get income tax returns, etc, garnished? As it stands now I only receive guideline support payments through FRO garnishment. He owes me alot of money.

I'd call FRO. Not exactly sure how it works but if he's behind enough they will do it. We even have a VAPS schedule and the take any GST etc on top of the VAPS.
...and in that moment I swear we were infinite.

If you file for all the missed payments with the FRO and its enough that they can't recover it from him in a timely manner (like one lump sum he'd be told to pay) they will file a lien with the government in his name and all government money issued to him will be given to the FRO to distribute to you until the amount is paid off. Any GST, HST, and tax return money will be garnished until the outstanding amount is returned to you. But you have to call them and fill out forms to file for missed payments (whether past or present).

Thanks! Now what if what I am looking for is support amounts from before an order for support was made... there was 15months between date of separation and date I got a court order and Fro garnishment. Also, moneys for section 7's (medical and extracurriculars) but I do not have a court order outlining this. Can I still call FRO and get the ball moving on further garnishments? He has declared personal bankruptcy.
