Tiny Lilia
was discovered at her hospital stay that lilia has not gained weight in 8-9 months. Shes been stuck at 30 lbs for a while. we are uping her feeds to 235 mls each..but i really not sure if thats going to help.
how do you guys get your kids to gain weight without uping the feeds too much? Although i am uneasy about switching forumla's becuase shes pretty senstive.

Are they concerned she isn't gaining?
Like seriously, ds was stuck at 30 lbs for about three years, but completely healthy. He's now 32 - it's like, huge news! lol that's been for about half a year.

DD was like this too. Stuck at about 30lbs from age 3 to about 6 and she ate like a horse. Now she has been stuck at 55lbs for about a year and she is now 8. It is a mystery to me. I hope you find something that helps L gain.

weight gain is always an issue as she is very tiny for her age. If she were to get sick she would drop it very quickly, cuz she has no fat to fall back on...which isnt good.

Ahh sorry, I was just looking at ways with food, as this is what we have to do for Maven as he is very tiny aswell and he looses weight very easily as well. I have no idea on tube feeding.

We didnt tube feed but the pharmacy had a can of powder stuff we used to add to dd's formula when she wasn't gaining. it didn't change the taste of the formula but it added calories depending on how much we added.....i think it was called polycose? maybe ask your doctor about it. mine never told us when we were having issues (she was a dolt) but our health nurse mentioned it and there were weeks it was a godsend! good luck

Lilia doenst eat much, if anything orally..other then water.
so its not like i can just give her fattening foods..its gotta be somethign i can add to her tube feedings. the dietcian said to add more formula..but we have pretty much already been doing that with no success.
animal woman i will ask about that...thanks

dd has been on polycose for over 3 years I would guess. It was the only thing we could do as she was at her max volume but ftt. It is what still keeps her on the cusp. We just increased to 230 mls of formula and she gets 5 tsp of poly in each feed. I am amazed they never suggested it to you guys!
