Just another example of “stupid“

The way I see it... either I go full board and essentially go over and beyond the consultant (again) and get a spot offerred to me or I simply let it go. At this particular moment I just do not have the motivation to fight for a placement I may or may not like. I do however reserve the right to change my mind at will though... I am planning on going out for lunch with a friend who happens to be a CCAC pediatric case worker who knows the consultant professionally. The game ain't over, I'm just not actively/aggressively playing it right now.. I have that right .

Well.. as expected the special ed board consultant did not call me this week. I have pretty well decided within myself that Daegan will contine with full-inclusion, grade two, at his home school this fall. Now, only thing left to figure out.. do I want to go through the hassles of going above this person at the board office and voice my dissappointmemts to her supervisors? Yeah, no doubt she deserves it and her bosses should be informed... but it would be another item to add to my list of things to do...

lol...

Just as I was about to sit down and draft a formal letter to the special education consultants superiors, guess who called... the consultant. The family of child #8 for this other high functioning classroom has decided to accept a different placement therefore I can tour the room. I have an tour scheduled for this Wednesday.

Yep, I plan on seeing it.. I figure why not? Maybe I'll like it, maybe I won't.

Well, I saw it and CRAP, CRAP CRAP... it has potential. Now I really have something to think about. It's the big picture future that I seem to be worrying about mostly. I do not like closing any doors because I do not know just how far Daegan will develop. I also am not fond of the idea sending him out-of-district. I see the impact it had on Taylor. It could have a big social impact on Daegan.

Oh yeah, and there is a possibility that this school will be closing in about three years.

Add this to the list of “stuff“ on my plate now

yeah- it has potential - boo it makes the decision harder! Why can decisions always be just black or white - grrrrr.. Sending decision making vibes. Just remember you can on ly attempt to make the best decision possible based on the information you have in front of you - know one knows what the future holds.

That's good news it has potential...now for the tough decision. I hope you have a bit of time to decide. I guess if there is a possibility it might close, there may be a possibility it may stay open after the three year mark?! Good luck!
