    Default would you apply?

the lambton kent school board is starting there hiring for the early childhood educators. They ask for a ECE as well as being registered. I don't have an ece but a CYW. Should I still apply?

It might be very difficult getting into the school board with your CYW. But I never say never. Try.

With your CYW why not apply for an EA position? Better money, and you would be considered qualified.

It's not actually better money. Thames Valley rate for ECE is higher than EA. I assume all boards are following approx same pay package.

Check into if you can be registered. You MUST be registered with the college of ECE to work an ECE job.

This is what the job would be. All school boards are hiring that position right now.

However EA's are allowed to apply for the position of the ECE jobs in the kindergarten rooms. They aren't registered with the college of ECE's.

Really? I wasn't aware of that but it makes sense.

Apparently that was part of the hoopla when this was announced. That EA's and ECE's would be competing for the same jobs and that there wouldn't be enough positions to go around.
