Where would one begin a search for a childs acoustic guitar? Not a toy one - one that they could keep and take lessons with.
And if you happen to know price ranges that would be very helpful also.

    Thanks so much

Have you checked out Belle Air? I have no idea on cost.

I would check kijiji first. My son does lessons and some guitars are VERY pricey! We were looking at $300 ones. That's for the half size ones. I'm waiting to make sure he really likes it before I spend that much.

I know that Toys r us and Wal mart have them. They are in with the electronics. I believe that they are around the $80 range
Enjoy everyday - they go by way too fast!

We started our boys out with one's that we found at Best Buy. They were about 100 hundred dollars (we also saw practically the same ones at Toys R Us though).

They have been taking lessons with them - we signed them up with a spectrum program that was about 46 dollars. The guy that runs the program is awesome!

The kids are loving it, they are learning tons and since this seems to be really something that they want to stick with, we will now start investing more money into it when they need a new guitar or more lessons.

They are currently doing the level one lessons with spectrum, they offer level two as well. From there we will probably have to look into some more advanced lessons.

Giant Tiger has the exact ones that Toys R Us and Walmart have, I bought my son's first childs acoustic for $35 and it came with a black carry case. I since have bought him an electric child's guitar at Giant tiger for $65
