    Default Toy Recommendations

Okay, I know Christmas is still a long way off, but I'm looking for toy recommendations for 2-3 year old (girls). What do/did your kids LOVE to play with at this age?

Book/DVD or CD recommendations are all welcome too. I would prefer something with no batteries and not too noisy for my own sanity.

DD is 3 1/2 and here are a few of her favourites for the last while...

Anything kitchen related!!! If not the actual kitchen, a tea set or just the plates, etc with some food!

Doll of any kind. I wouldn't recommend ones that have to be or can be dressed. DD still can't do this on her own and it drives me MAD doing this over and over and over!!!

Lego/Mega Blocks have been huge too. She has just moved on to normal Lego (thanks to the LM Sale) and loves it! Spent almost an hour with it this morning!!!

My dd has always loved books of any kind and spends lots of time reading still.

    Play Cleaning supplies. A broom/dust pan/sponge/etc.

If I think of any more... I'll let ya know.

Kellan loved Leap Pad Fridge Phonics and Numbers. Best toy we have right now. Koen even enjoys dancing while it's singing. My Mom picked me up the new Candyland game in the States for me for Kell which I'm excited about.

Wave loves her vsmile baby, easle, and her dora kitchen.
SHe also loves books of any kind. Oh and her cozy coupe car, I picked up at a yard sale for $3!!!
For xmas, we were thinking of a play house or water table, but now we are thinking christmas will be smaller this yr, and she will get mostly books, art supplies and a doll or too, becuase my house is cluttered with toys, and the ectended family will buy her so much.

    Goodluck and happy shopping!!

My DD is really into building and creating things. She's not one that loves to play dress up very often. Scholar's Choice has something called Straws and Connectors. Its cheap (compared to other things you could buy!) and is alot of fun if she likes to build. Also that foamy stuff you can make into whatever, that doesn't dry out too badly. Its great too.

OMG, my husband just bought my DD her halloween costume, a little ballerenia dress, and she has worn it everyday since. It was well wrrth the $20 and it's not even halloween yet!

I second the kitchen paly things, We have a tiny kitchen I keep in the tent trailer and they play for hours with it, mostly the plates bowls fodd etc.. Little tea sets are soooo cute and used alot in our house. I wouldlove to find little baking things for DD, she bakes with me and I think she would liek to have a tiny set.

    playdough

second anything craft related: kids scissors, glue stick, etc

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Yes, DD loves anything food or kitchen related. She was give a vintage FP kitchen set with real looking food and she absolutely loves it. I got her some more play dishes at the LM sale so that should keep her busy.

I like the easel idea and craft stuff. That might be right up her alley.
