I was in for 4 days due to an unexpected c-section at St. Joes - they gave me anything I truely required (diapers/pads/mesh undies/as many gowns as I needed). I'm fairly easy to please, and tend to make due with whatever I have.

I made my husband bring in:
a huge box of nursing pads (I only had 6 in my bag as I expected to be in and out)
more yarn (I knitted my way through labor... so I though I'd continue waiting until I was allowed to go home)
snacks (I had to take meds at 9pm that required food and always ate everything they gave me at dinner)

If I were to do it again I would probably borrow a portable DVD player and bring some DVDs, maybe some interesting magazines too. I was too cheap to pay for cable (if I don't have it at home then why would I have it at the hospital).

I really enjoyed that I had an extra pillow and regular undies to switch into day 3 - though low rise ones hit right on my incision. My husband brought the camera and would bring it home every night with him and share them with the family. I know I brought at least 1 nursing bra as well. My sister in law picked up an outfit for my DD to come home in as she was smaller then I had anticipated.

If you want to use disposable wipes with you LO, at St. Joe's you'll need to bring your own. They have as many face clothes as you could possibly need though.

I was a Vic and they supplied me pads and everything for the baby except for sleepers. They just had those flannel gowns for the baby.

I forgot a lot of stuff. Make sure you have nursing cream and pads. Snacks. a phone list of people you want to call. If I did it again I would have borrowed my Dads laptop to get on LM's!!

I just had a baby on the 15th of Sept at the Vic and they provide you with a small amount of pads (nursing and menstural) as well they provide you with some diapers as well. Not sure if I had forgot anything.. oohhh yes at the vic if you want diposable wipes you will need to bring your own..I didn't mind using the face clothes they provided because hey I didn't have to wash them ..hehehe
