I bought this skirt yesterday (my first time USA shopping, so much fun!!) , but they didn't have any matching tops in the right size. I am looking to get one , perhaps on ebay, in time for dd birthday. Here are my questions:

1) How do you know the name of the line at gymbo in order to search for matching pieces?
2) Does anyone know the the name of this line that the skirt belongs to?

Go to Gymbohaven.com. It has lists of all the lines a i think.

either at gymbohaven.com or at gymbofriends.com they both have old line pics.

that skirt it the outlet version of cute as a button. it's completely different then the original CAAB so make sure if you are searching ebay you use the word outlet in your search.

Yeah, it looks like outlet version of CAAB. So cute! I just love the colours of the remake (and the original too!). It might be hard to search eBay for specifically outlet CAAB because (1) it's relatively recent and outlet versions usually don't make it to eBay for a while and (2) most people don't specify that something is an outlet version. You can't just search CAAB because the colours are completely different and wouldn't work well together at all, IMO. The colours are similar to Imaginary Friends, you could try searching for a top from that line. Or you could try gymbofriends.com to see if somewhere there has outlet CAAB for sale or is willing to go shopping for you.

Oh, just had another thought: I think that the colours would work well too with the Gap Argyle line from last year so you could search for that on eBay. Good luck!

I just went looking on eBay for some Gap Argyle stuff to show you, but there isn't much right now. I did, however, come across this pretty dress which I think would make a great party dress!

Thanks AnnasMom! That dress is really cute, but I'm pretty pinked out lately, hence the navy skirt! I'm thinking I may put a solid top and solid tights with the skirt if I don't find a top that co-ordinates with the skirt.

But if I did get the dress you suggested...I'd get to buy a sweater too...we can't have her cold now, can we?

I hear ya on the pinked out.

I think it's worth searching for a top from that line (Gap's Argyle line) because the colours are nearly identical. In fact, there's a very, very similar navy cord skirt with polka dots in that line, so I bet it wouldn't be hard to find something to match your Gymbo skirt!

I'm not sure what size you are looking for, but between these tops and the party dress, you should have a pretty good idea of the colours in the Gap line.
