Default Wow, I was already called...lol

I got hired at a daycare centre yesterday and they just called already to see if I could work this week. I thought for sure that I wouldn't get called until next week. No for today, cause of my doctor's appt, but yes for tomorrow and no for Friday(dd's 5th birthday) She and I have a date at TRU. Sounds like I might get a few hours there

Is this for supply? If they like you and word gets out that your good at the job they will fight over you. LOL Seriously a good supply is like gold in the daycare world. You'll have no problem getting hours.

i completely agree with Carol. The good ones always get booked/called.
I found when supplying it was pretty busy. I would get booked weeks at a time for holidays and such. And you are coming into that time...

Well it's a big daycare center with 40 staff, so I guess I'm needed. It is supply.

ECE is what I have. Pay varies between 11.00 and 15.00 an hour.

I don't think you need your ECE to supply Scrappy or at least that's the way it used to be. You need a criminal vulnerable screening check for sure and experience with kids would help. Considering your a mom I would think you have a good shot.

Its changing. Some centers don't mind people not having their ECE, but the good centers need that AND you must be registered with the College of ECE's.

For a supply position or for permanent? That a big change for supply. A few years ago they were desperate for good supplys. This was big corp. but one of the better ones.

Supply. I was asked yesterday and at the other supply that I got if I had my college of ece registration. I do have a friend that doesn't have her ECE and she is supplying at a centre. However she is “technically“ not allowed to be alone in a room with a child.
