Allergic reaction ... pics inc!!!

We wentto apple land .. Noah had an apple and that is the only new thing in a coule of weeks.. he has had apple sauce lots of times .. When we got home I took his shirt off and was suprised to see these .. Just now I looked and another is coming up on his otherside??? Any ideas He is acting fine. I justthink I should maybe take him in.. but really he seems ok just these welts, hives .. they are raised and the skin feels almost sticky??






WE went into children's emerge and after 4-5 Dr's and a whole whack of nurses looking at Noah as he partied the night away talking spitting and really just being a Superstar!! they came to the conclusions that Something got onto Noah's skin to cause a reaction ?!? but they don't know what. So we are home he is fine and in bed now. He did not seem at all bothered by the marks and they did not seem to hurt when touched so they said to leave him alone and give him Benadryl if they get worse. Thanks for all the input Ladies.

hmmm, I am sorry I have no idea of what that could be, but i would take him in. Was he playing in anything, near the animals, anything new like that??

Do they spray their apples at Apple Land? Wondering whether it could be a reaction to something like that? Could they be bug bites? My niece once had a few big red welts and the Doctor said they were spider bites.
I would get him checked out just to make sure. Hope you are able to figure out what it's all about soon and that it's nothing serious.

My DD (at age 18 months) developed these HUGE hives one day out of the blue too. They were each almost 3 inches in diameter, and she had one on each butt cheek and thighs. It was totally freaky! The advise I got was to give benadryl every 6 hours for two days and if it went away fine, no worry. (yah right, I was stressed too) Anyhow...that's what I did and we never saw another hive again. Weird. Now, if he was having any other symptoms like troubles breathing, or the benadryl wasn't helping, definitely take him in. I couldn't pin point anything new either when me DD developed them. This was our experience. Hope he's not uncomfortable with them.

Okay this may sound really funny. But something like this happened to my mom. Her dr sent her to an alergy specialist. the outcome was that she was alergic to apples
But if she cooked them took the peel off or cooked them in the microwave for a certin amt of time she would be fine. So since applesauce is okay, did he eat any raw apples, could it be the apple skin( it has something to do with the spray etc.)

I'm glad it turned out to be "nothing", or at least nothing serious! I just had to say though, that the new pic in your signature just kills me!! Everytime you put up a new pic he gets cuter and cuter!!! That is all...

I could see him having a reaction to the insecticide they put on.
Was he petting any of the animals? Did the doctors consider maybe it was something from that?

I did not even take him into the barn .. the only place he was ... the apple tree, the slide, the pumpkin my pic.. I think maybe it looks like it may have come from the slide because he was standing against it and then slid onto his bum . So maybe some kind of plastic burn ? I don't know.. I would thing he would have cried if he got a burn from the slide, but maybe they clean the slides with something. I've put in a call to them just to check and see. I would like to avoid whatevre it was if I can figure it out. THanks for all the input again.. I always seem to have something going on here!!
