Employers respect honesty, so I don't think you need to make up anything to put on your resume.
Most employers are astute enough to know that if there is a gap on your resume it usually means that you've been at home with kids. I'd put a sentence in your cover letter stating that you have been a SAHM for the past 4 years, that you have been able to perfect your multi-tasking skills, organizational skills etc.
If you're in a profession, I'd also outline how you have been able to keep up to date with your profession since you have been off.
