    Default unsure about moving

Do people ever use the services of an agent to look at homes to buy if they are unsure they in fact want to move? ie:should we make changes where we are or look for what we need now elsewhere. How is the agent compensated for this?

An agent is only compensated when they buy or sell a property as their compenstation is a commission based upon the sale price of a home.

That being said even if you are unsure of moving most agents would still be willing to work with your needs with the thoughts that when you are willing to move that you would consider them as your agent. You should however never feel committed to using an agent unless they are the right fit for you (unless of course you have a signed contract with that agent).
