    Default Medic alert bracelets?

I haven't looked too much into this yet but I need to get DD one ASAP. Where do they sell them? Would it be easier to buy one online? From what I saw online it looks like the toddler sizes are around $30-$40, is that about right? TIA.

When I got mine about 15 years ago it was $25 for an adult one, so $40 for a kids size sounds about right.

you can actually pick them up in Walmart pretty cheap - I think all pharmacies probably sell the ones with the paper inside that you fill out yourself.

Costco now carries them for adults.
you can get the little sterling silver ones with the links.. you measure your DD's wrist. and send them the size the bracelet is then sized to fit.. it has a claw clasp where you have to put the two pieces together with the chain link inside .. did that make sense.. on the back of the medallion is your DD's ?? I bought my son the velcro one but wouldn't suggest it.. then he received his one for christmas 2 years ago(the SS one).. i know have to renew membership once a year..

Isn't there a program where you can get them free. Something along the lines that they don't want Children to go without?? Natalie brought home info at the beginning of the school year about it. Let me google see what I can come up with.

What's her dx? Our diabetes team got us the information and Miss A is covered under a program where her yearly subscription is paid thru Medic Alert. I like that program because all her dx's are listed in their servers and there's no guesswork for EMT's. She's been a diabetic for 8 years and has had once since the beginning. She's 10 now. Speak to the hospital's PMDU. They can find the info for you.

Get them straight from MedicAlert. Others sell ones with the symbol on them and you can engrave what you want, but i you deal with MedicAlert directly they have a file on you. They can keep more information than can be kept on your bracelet and you have an ID number so in case of an emergency the hospital/doctor can call their toll free number, give your ID number and find out if there are more details on the condition/conditions/what allergies and I believe even general information on what medicines (though they don't keep doses for obvious reasons). It is worth the money to deal with MedicAlert!

They have a 'KidSmart' program: https://www.medicalert.org/join/KidS...lert+Kid+Smart

Sorry, should have added, looks like $15 a year, plus a $15 starting membership which includes a bracelet.

Awesome, thanks. I think I'll just go through the MedicAlert website. The bracelet is for her nut allergy. So the velcro one isn't a good idea? I hope she's ok with keeping it on all the time.

I found the velcro one's get lost. I bought our daughter one a couple years ago and she took it off for a bath and then lost it. So now we only get her the stainless steel one and they are very well built.
