We finally have a Mic-Key!

I didnt think it was a newer size, and when they took the other one out (the none mc key) to measure her for the mic key it was hard to put back in, and she had that one for months.

Odd, I thought perhaps they tried to dilate her with a larger mic-key than the other g-tube, which would be pretty painful I think. Could it be granulation that builds up making it harder to insert/remove? Whatever the cause, I hope it gets easier for her! I would recommend keeping an eye on the mic-keys you pick up. One box we had was given to us in error (much larger than DS needs), but it scanned in as two smaller sizes (not the same number twice, but there were 3 sizings attached to this one box). It was very odd but I do look closely now.

Do you use a lubricant? I can't get dd's tube in without it, but with it it is no problem at all.

ok, to answer the question...yes, yes we can put it back in. it came out at school today and the nurse couldnt get it back in. So she cmae home and we got it in..it was brutual though, but she had a lot of chocolate afterwards and shes all giggly now.

OMG what a quick lesson fo ryou to learn! I'm so glad you were able to get it back in. I wonder why it is so difficult to insert. I'm sorry to hear it came out so quickly after putting it in...I hope it doesn't happen too often - but YEAH!! for you for being able to get it back in. Yummy, chocolate - bet that takes the sting away.
