I just noticed a claw is broken on my ring I had made for myself last year. Any idea what it would cost for a claw?
Thanks!

I don't know but if it is only a year old I would be taking it back to the place where you had it made and expecting a free repair. Jewelry should last more than a year before repairs are needed!

exactly! And it depends on the metal. A lot of the time you can get a white gold claw repaired for about $25-$30... give or take $10. It's been a while since I've worked at a jewellery store, so bear with me. A lot of the time any good jeweller will look at all claws for any stress. Platinum and Palladium are more expensive. Give a jeweller a call. There's lots of them out there if you're out of your one year. If you're still within your one year, take it back and ask that the store take care of it.
When did you have the stones set? Normally the claws have some sort of guarantee on them. Especially if new stones are being set. I can pm you places to avoid![]()
Haha, I'm brilliant, I was totally picturing this.
Duh. Carry on.
I'd be bringing the ring back, if it were me. There's no way that those claws should go missing or wreck in any way within the first year. Do you mind telling me where you went? The amount of money you have to pay to get a ring changed should last you a longer then 11 months.
I actually went to a little shop in Stratford. I know they had fixed a couple of the claws when I had it done. I think in totally it was only like $50 to get it all done but I also 'sold' them the 3 old diamonds and got the 'fake' diamonds put in (which in my opinion look real)
well, I'd say out of the city is WAY cheaper then anything you'd find here.
