Well my girls are off to daycare!
After a 3 month fight, part of that time to convince me that this was a good idea for both me and the girls, they are starting daycare tomorrow. I haven't quite closed in on any feelings about it yet; hasn't sunk in. I'm hoping for good results, one of the ladies who will be working with my girls has already brushed up on her knowledge of Autism.......I was very impressed by that. Although I should be sleeping until Friday and doing nothing but listening to the beautiful sounds of quiet in the house, I have TONS of stuff planned to accomplish. It's all surreal as I head to bed to ponder a day's worth of quiet, hmm.

remember, it'll be worse for you, then them!
They'll have soo much fun!
Enjoy the quiet!
(which center? We're looking for childcare right now too )

I'd like to agree with you but after the day we've had I've been chanting how I wished that today was tomorrow. Besides I go stark raving loony if I'm not DOING things, neat freak that I am, but I will enjoy cleaning my house and not being the paranoiac, “are the girls ok? are they behaving well? are they bored? (which without other young kids around they were) are they throwing their food on the floor? etc“ It was always hard to DO things without having my subconscious worrying what they were doing. They'll have a blast where they are and my focus will be way better. I have plans to go back into training in our club gym, take up knitting more, improve my culinary skills, take a sewing class so there won't be much time on either side for missing. The days will go by quickly and we'll all feel better by day's end....I hope. I'll pm you the daycare.
Tan: yep, they are going full time which was a nice surprise for me. It's going to be a great routine for them; their therapists will go onsite to work with them but I've made myself available for all field trips and any extra volunteer work they need.

Okay, I've had the night to think about it and now I'm not happy they are going away for the day! I'm working hard to keep busy so I don't think about it as much!!

The first little bit will be hard, but you will get used to it and I'm sure the girls will enjoy being around their peers. It's good that you plan to be busy, it takes your mind off of it the first time and you'll feel better about it once you see how well they will hopefully do in daycare! Good luck!

Drop off went really well; they were SO prepared right down to their lactose intolerance issue so we were able to get out and have a coffee date and I've cleaned like a madwoman today........I figure about a week of todays and I'll have the clean house of my dreams!!! I actually miss my girls and it will be a pleasure to play with them tonight knowing I don't have to worry if this or that was done today......I can just, PLAY! That's so cool; in less than 2 hours, the first day is already done! It went by WAY too quickly this day of FIRSTS! Today will never happen again. Must take a pic!

Glad it went well!
They may be quite tired after their busy and new day, and may need to go to bed a bit early lol
