Spring sale
So what are we all selling and can someone give me a good idea of how to price stuff? I've got tons of boys clothes and baby girl up to 24 months. Tell me what you think of this pricing:
5 diaper shirts for a $1
5 sleepers for $3
shirt/short sets for $5
shirt/pant sets for $7
dresses $5-$10
shorts - $3
shirts - $3
shoes - $3
slippers $1
bottles - big bag for $4
socks - 10 cents a pair (worth bringing? I've got lots!)
Do these sound reasonable?
Just an FYI, I don't really have much fancier girls clothes, I've got some cute dresses and sets, but not much boutique since I"ve kept most of it for the baby. I've got some really cute dress/bloomer sets, a few really cute gymbo dresses and such.

Those sound resonable...I was wondering how to price Em's stuff, especially since it's mostly 2 peice outfits - glad to know someone else is thinking the same thing price-wise
I'd be tempted to bundle the socks...that way you're not left with just a couple at the end. That's what I'd do

I'd bundle the socks. Ziplock bag for a dollar.
I have gone through all the kids clothes and found what I will be selling. Next I will be going through and seeing what needs a dryer frenshener, what needs to be washed/stain gotten out. Then pricing..... sigh....

I'm doing bins. A .50, $1 and $2 dollar bin. Possibly a free bin too of anything with a stain.
Then a bunch of NWT girls 0-18 months stuff. Found a whole bin of NWT stuff awhile back that won't fit DD2 or is out of season.
All my mat clothes will also be there - mostly small and med. Few large things.
2 strollers. Which 2...I don't know yet. I have three and don't need 3.

Bundling the socks is a good idea! I got some elastics today so will put together groups of diaper shirts and sleepers. I put together one under bed storage bin of outfits and another similar bin of outfits to hang on the rack. I have some I'm going to try and get the stains out of and I'll have a basket of shoes and slippers too.
I was thinking after I get everything together I may just get some plastic bags and put a bunch of clothes in and label it with the size and $2 for the bag (odds and ends and may have slight stains), do you think that would be ok or not?

I seem to have a bit in all sizes, no huge amounts in any one size, but a lot of 24 month boys jumpers (is that what you call them? Like a diaper shirt with legs?). I marked them at $3 but I think I should change it to $2 probably. Never sure what to price everything at!

Someone asked...
strollers I will be selling.
1. Red Safety First, comes with the baby car seat that attached to the stroller. Also has the base with it that stays in the car. That part I never used. Car seat expires in 2012.
2. Hmmm, not sure. Either a sit n stand joovy orange stroller. Or a black and blue jogging stroller, front wheel rotates. I have not decided yet... I like em both...

I'm thinking of bringing two shortie woven wraps to the sale. Thoughts? We're talking 80-100$ wraps and they are shorties so it is a small population that knows how to use shorties and would know they are worth this. Thoughts?
As for bins - from a buyers perspective - I HATE big bins. I will skip over them because I dont want to fish through them.

Well the wraps won't take up much room so I don't think there is any harm in bringing them, but honestly I doubt you'll have any luck selling them at the sale.

ugh I'm not looking forward to pricing. I have a double rack already filled with 3T and 6/7's. One side for each girl and still more to go!
Your prices sound reasonable. I think I always underprice my stuff, but I don't buy with the intentions of making money off it, it's just a bonus to recouperate some of my money.

I have to agree. I think part of the reason why I always have super successful sales is that I have nothing in bins. I hang 90% of clothes. The table is for shoes, toys, books and swimsuits and PJs that I put in ziplocs.
