About the Facilitator


Shirley Sutton is an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years experience working with children with special needs from infancy through to teens and adults with significant disabilities. Her specialty training areas include early intervention, developmental disorders and sensory integration. She brings extensive clinical experience including a private practise consulting with many community agencies.

Shirley also presents workshops at conferences across Canada to a wide variety of audiences including Autism Ontario and the Geneva Centre. She co-authored the book “Building Bridges through Sensory Integration-Occupational Therapy for Children with Autism and other Pervasive Disorders” and the workbook” Learn to print and draw, A Visual-Kinesthetic Approach”. Her clinic is located in her home in Collingwood.
