Charlie's Soap (powder). I've used different things and find it works the best and it's the only laundry soap we use.
I used to use Shaklee, but found it left residue and I had to strip my diapers. I haven't had to strip since I switched to Charlie's Soap powder.

how much does that stuff sell for on average? Weve been using purex and I find its not working very well for some reason

charlies soap is 22.00 a bag at cheeky monkey but one bag is good for 80 loads so if you are only using it for CD's it lasts a long time.
www.cruncycoop.com has it on there every once and a while for 6.95 a bag US +shipping.

This. It is expensive, but honestly, it's the only laundry soap we use and it works very well. There is a small scoop inside the bag and I've never used more than the scoop.

I also use tide powder, I tried a couple of different ones and tide was the only one that keeps my diapers from stinking of ammonia

it's the only soap i've ever used too and love it. when I was just using it on my cloth diapers one bag lasted me well over 6 months. Now that I get it threw the coop I use it for all my laundry and its fantastic on my clothes too!
