Unhappy Looking for Support

Hello Fellow Mommies,
I'm new to Londonmoms, but looking for a Support Group and it was suggested by a friend I come here.
I have been looking for a safe place to talk about some common mommy hurdles.
I don't want to go to the doctor, but know I have Post Partum.
Some days I just want to curl up and die.
Anyone else experiencing gloom and want to share?
I think talking helps and I don't have nearly enough adult time.
I'm a stay at home mom, my hubby works long hours, I have a 3 year old and a 2 month old.
Please help!

welcome,

i believe you may find some more support from www.pddpeersupport.com as well.

Im sorry your transition from 1 to 2 hasn't gone as smoothly as you had hoped.

I had a rather difficult time with it myself.

If you would ever like to chat, please feel free to send me a private message

I also had PPD after my first.

eta, for some reason it's adding a '' at the end of my link when you click on it. Just copy and paste and it will work

Most days are bad and others are worse. I can't seem to cheer up. Doesn't help that it's drab and cold out I feel so isolated and alone.

Wow! On your 4th!! Feeling like this, I sometimes wonder why I did it a second time. Don't get me wrong, my kids are great, but I'm not coping well and it scares me.

have you talked to your dr at all?

also there are some mental health crisis lines you can call.

You don't need to be in crisis to call them. You just need to feel like you're needing support.

They will not judge, and they can help with setting up referals to get you the help you need.

Another idea is to get in touch with Merrymount. They offer a wide range of programs to assist people in various different situations.

Thank you, Leigh! You're really on top of your facts. I appreciate your support and advice. I will definitely consider these other options, but I'm a little embarrassed about my condition.

Hi! Welcome! So sorry to hear you're having such a rough time.

You're doing well knowing that you need support! That is fantastic that you can say that and are looking for what you need. You're a strong woman

I was just posting info on an event in support of Mother Reach which offers support for postpartum depression. My sister is involved in the program which is how I keep hearing about it. I know a lot of moms on this board have been part of their programs and benefitted a lot.

They have a support group that meets weekly and there is childcare available. They'll help you make arrangements if getting there is difficult. It would be a great opportunity. Adult discussion, a snack and your little ones would be well taken care of in the same place.

Here is their website: Postpartum Mood Disorder (PPMD) | Mother Reach
Please considering getting in touch with them! If you want to send a private message to my sister to get more specific information, her username is Kendra.

Here is the thread with all the info I was posting in case you were curious! http://forum.londonmoms.ca/53508-out...ort#post843257

Welcome to LM's; you'll find some sharp shooters here when it comes to lifting up a mama who needs help, no one gets left behind. You need a coffee time, just ask. If you enjoy crafts like knitting you can pm me for a playdate. There are lots of crafters, cooking mama's, mall outing mama's, just ask based on your interests for some company and you'll find it.

Blessings.
