Is he going to bring a dog for M to meet?

I'm not sure if he will or not.

But I need to figure out a good date for him to come! Oh so very exciting!

How quick does the process go once you've met with Wade to approval? Lots of paperwork?

How does it work?! LOL

Wade rarely goes anywhere without a dog LOL...

There won't be a lot of paperwork and you will pretty much get a feel for things I would imagine when he is there with you. He does have an application that you'll need to complete and there is some information about your child's needs/diagnosis/etc.... pretty basic tho!

Once you are done all the paper work you are then put on the waitlist... currently I believe the wait time is under 18mths.

Wade's a great guy - I'm sure you'll enjoy your meeting! Have fun!

I would email Wade and have him email you the paper work that way you can fill it out before he gets there. that is what we did. When it came to the part of diagnosis we left that blank b/c she is not “officially“ diagnosied. But Wade was ok with this. We know that she needs a dog, Sophie is a handful to take out in public.

It is not a long wait at all to be approved.

I would write down all of your questions that way you know what to ask a head of time.

Wade is a great guy and works with the families from meeting them having them come to puppy classes.

I can let you know when there is another class at White Oaks. Should be soon though.

wow. Could obtaining a service BE THAT easy?!?! LOL

this is sooo very exciting.

I hope we qualify. I really think the dog would benefit Matthew.

He loves our Tia, but she has attached herself to Noah. (plus she's a 7lb fluff ball.. lol)

This would be such a great thing for him. He desperately wants to connect with a doggie.

yes, I asked about the dx thing in email conversation with Wade before!
He said they are more concerned with providing service dogs to all children who need them, not just the children with the “right“dx.
I think thats amazing.
